KEY CLUB: The key to success just may be Antioch High’s Key Club. Lead by teacher Danielle Sullivan, the after-school club meets 3:10-4:15 Tuesdays in Room 301. In partnership with Kiwanis International, Key is a “student-led organization, which provides its members with opportunities to provide service, build character, develop initiative and leadership, and serve the school and community.” The club will also help with character building and inclusiveness. Details can be found on the Antioch High School Key Club Facebook page. Even if you’re active with a sport or job, students can be Key members and help with club events and activities. For more info, email DanielleSullivan

INTERACT CLUB: If you're interested in making international connections and developing leadership skills, the Interact club may be for you. Lead by teacher Samantha Wilson, the group meets from 3-4 p.m. Thursdays in P-13. The after-school club is sponsored by Rotary International, a service organization bringing together "business and professional leaders to provide humanitarian services, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and help build good will in the world." The student-run club offers hands-on service projects throughout the year, a chance to have fun with friends and is a strong entry on college applications. For more info, email

After-School Program

ClubRoar.jpg

Club ROAR! is an after school program that supplements the daily academic schedule and enriches the educational experiences of our students in a safe and welcoming environment. Club Roar! strives to:

Doggone good move

The CARE club, which focuses on helping animals, recently partnered with the Antioch Animal Shelter. The after-school group is picking up where the AHS cross country team left off and is walking shelter dogs on a weekly basis to help exercise and socialize the adoptable pets.

The fun has begun!

Our ROARing after-school program has loads of clubs for you. The free program includes cycling, art, dance, gardening, fitness, services groups, LGBT and much more. And, there are snacks and a light dinner included at no charge. Go beyond the classroom and find a new adventure! Come to the office for a schedule of clubs.

LGBT welcomes all

A wheel-y good time

The Antioch Bike Club meets from 3:15-5 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and hits the trails and roads in and around Antioch. It is led by Mr. Howell and meets in 801B.

Garden club grows

Dig this! The newly revamped Green Team Club would love more members to join in its after-school fun. The club’s focus is on green living, green community and, of course, some greGardenClub1.jpgat gardening.

Barbara Engle, teacher and club adviser, said “We garden organically and talk about what that means, addressing problems in the garden as they arise and talk about planting seasons, etc.”

The club is branching out into green living and community, and looking to do fundraisers to pay for a field trip. In March, they hope to make goat-milk soap from scratch and salsa garden seedlings to pot up and sell this April and May.

All Panther students and staff are welcome to join Green Team Club, which meets from 3-5 p.m. Mondays.

4/4/17

Our librarians Terri Chapman and Jeannine Coover hosted their 7th annual Poetry Slam, and everyone was wowed by the talent of the student participants. Senior Jo Estes walked away with first place, while Jonathan Williams took second and Kaycee Clark placed third. Congrats to this mighty trio and all the fabulous poet slammers.

Panther Pantry

Pantryy1.jpg

Thanks to key student involvement, our Panther Pantry continues to help and serve. In partnership with the CC Food Bank, we offer our students in a need a bag of groceries (the third Friday of each month in front of the Big Gym). Each month, some 80 students (including Key Club, Interact, Student Government) sort, bag and distribute more than 1,000 pounds of non-perishables to their fellow Panthers in need.
